"Providing Hometown Reliability"
We have started construction in this area. We have pulled in about 5 miles of fiber and have framed poles for the last pull. Getting the last couple easements is taking some time.
The conduit contractor has started burying conduit. MMU crews will follow after and pull in fiber and then splice. The order had to be modified slightly in order to get conduit buried on Ladder Ave. before the road district began a paving project. The order will be generally related to population density of each area, although other factors will come into play for some areas. Materials are mostly delivered for Grant 1, but lead times for some items have stretched to 72-74 weeks.
|Lark||conduit complete||pull fiber complete||splicing up next|
|Ladder||conduit complete||there is some other make-ready||progress in a few weeks|
|Meyer Lake||conduit starting|
We are still in the paperwork stage for round 2. We hope to start construction in mid to late 2022. We had a couple of equipment demos and were able to use some of the time to put in a half mile of conduit for Grant 2. We won't be able to do anything with it until Grant 1 is further along. The note about lead times above shouldn't hurt too bad for Grant 1, but could be a major issue for starting Grant 2.
